Dear Water Professionals,
We are happy to announce the keynote speakers that will provide the overarching narrative for Wold Congress.
The CEOs and leaders on our speaker lineup represent some of the most inspiring and visionary figures in the water sector and beyond.
They will provide the most updated and latest development in research and practice in their areas.

Dr. Felipe Arreguín:
Doctor in Hydraulics and Master in Engineering from the National Autonomous University of Mexico. He is currently the General Director of the Mexican Institute of Water Technology. From 2002 to 2015 he was Deputy Technical Director of the National Water Commission. He was President of the XXX Directing Council of the Mexican Association of Hydraulics and is currently Vice President of the College of Civil Engineers of Mexico and a Full Member of the Pan American Academy of Engineering. He is the author of more than 240 technical publications and more than 200 national and international conferences.

Professor Vladimir Nikora:
Professor Vladimir Nikora is Sixth Century Chair in Environmental Fluid Mechanics at the School of Engineering, University of Aberdeen (UK), where he serves as Leader and Academic Line Manager of the Mechanics of Fluids, Soils and Structures Research Group. His main research accomplishments relate to the development and applications of new approaches and concepts for describing and predicting rough-bed turbulent flows, sediment dynamics, and flow-biota interactions. Professor Nikora has been an Editor of IAHR Journal of Hydraulic Research and Associate Editor for AGU Water Resources Research and ASCE Journal of Hydraulic Engineering. He is currently one of Advisory Editors for the IAHR Journal of Ecohydraulics. 

Professor Lin Chuxue:
Professor senior engineer. He received Bachelor’s degree in Electric Engineering from Zhejiang University, and MBA degree from School of Management, Stirling University. He served for China CITIC Group from 1982 to 2002, a series of posts such as Executive Vice President and Board Director of CITIC Securities Company, Deputy Director of Finance Department and Director of IT Department of CITIC Group, Chairman of Supervisory Board of CNOOC-CITIC Trust and Investment Corporation. 
In January, 2002, he transferred to China Three Gorges Corporation ( CTG ) as Executive Vice President. His current major responsibility in CTG covers human resources management and communication with hydro and environment related international NGOs. CTG owns and operates the Three Gorges Complex, the biggest dam project in the world.
